The 2.1 release and its Service Pack reserve many new features in all functional areas. Let's see the main ones.

In the Financials Accounting Area , Mago4 2.1 improves data management with the tabular management of data relating to Municipalities, Provinces and Regions, which allows all master data to select these specifics consistently to the ISO code indicated in the registry itself. The new tabular data are updated automatically during the database refresh from the Console, and include any new data and the updating of existing ones. The contents of the new tables comply with the activation country. Furthermore, the list of Italian municipalities has been updated, in compliance with the amendments in force since 1/2/2017.

Another new feature is the Mago4's Connector to Maestro software which, as you may recall, replaces the Bilancio & Oltre software. The Connector between Mago4 and Maestro makes it possible to export balances through an excel file to be imported into Maestro; the file is generated by a procedure based on a dedicated reclassification scheme that maps Maestro's entries with Mago4's accounts.

In the Logistics Area, the latest Mago4 release gives a new twist to the German localization , thanks to new and important projects implemented to meet local needs. Of particular importance is the introduction of the proposition of the counterpart and of the VAT code in the documents according to the local accounting rules. In Germany, accounting movements must be recorded in the accounts on the basis of specific tax rules; Mago4 2.1 implements the Accounting Rules , which allow you to have always the right proposition of the VAT code and of the counterpart in the purchase and sale documents. This ensures maximum flexibility, starting with the various master data in which the user can recall the Accounting Rule. Another project of the new release concerns a particular management valid in Germany: the discount for prepayment. In Germany in fact there is the concept of "Skonto", according to which a customer can get a discount by paying before the agreed date. In Mago4 2.1 it is possible to define and calculate this discount, to correctly manage its validity and accounting registration and to manage it with reference to the Account, as well as to take it into account in the Payment Conditions, in the Purchase and Sale documents and in the Matches.

Other specific needs faced in the commercial and logistics area are those for Poland localization. In particular, Mago4 2.1 takes over the Polish need to correct an invoice for a fiscal year different from that in which the correction invoice is generated, and in which an account that is no longer transferable is used, from which 2 sub-accounts have been created. In Mago4 2.1 the counterpart field is made editable on the correction invoice, in the event that the counterpart can not be post. In fact, the Polish regulations establish that an account with secondary accounts can not be posted.

Mago4 2.1 also enriches the Brazilian localization, in particular with the procedure Manifestação do Destinatário (Recipient Manifestation) in the Procedures section of the Fiscal Notes: a series of events that allow the recipient of the electronic invoice to manifest himself, confirming the information provided by the issuer of the fiscal document. The goal is to provide greater security in corporate tax transactions (for example, an invoice for which confirmation is issued can no longer be canceled by the issuer). From the 2.1 release, Mago4 is able to send and receive verifiable communications in absolute safety, thanks to a specific Monitor.

In confirmation of the increasing completeness and relevance of your ERP at international level, Mago4 2.1 presents the introduction in the Inventory area of ​​the Weighted Average of the Period, a valuation criterion widely used in international markets. Therefore, this model can now be applied for evaluating the final inventories; according to it, the outputs are valued at the average cost of the items received in the warehouse during the same period.

There is much more: for example, the Migration of Item Balances in the warehouse, that is further improved to meet the most varied needs, the ability to enter the counterparts in the customers and suppliers offers, the reorganization of the Summary and Deadlines Data in sales/purchase documents, or the increasing usability of the WMS thanks to the saving and restitution of some settings within the Stock Transfer procedure, not to mention the integration between Mago4 and the Zucchetti Saleforce Mobile app.

Last but certainly not least, the SP1 of Mago4 2.1 addresses and simplifies the theme of electronic invoicing: for those using the Zucchetti Digital Hub online service to send electronic documents, the Assosoftware format is now available on Mago4. This standard, which respects the whole ministerial format and the controls provided by the Interchange System, allows to generate complete, detailed and easier electronic documents thanks to a several additional codings shared among all the Software Houses adhering to this standard.

SP 2 for Mago4 2.0

The update of Mago4 2.0, related to recent italian regulatory developments, is available for download.

The new SP 2 of Mago4 2.0 contains several improvements in different functional areas; as always, the update incorporates the latest regulatory developments. In this case in particular the SP adopts the adjustments required by Italian Government for the CU 2018, a tax document that taxpayers must produce to certify the income from work.

These changes concern the communication of some contents of the CU 2018: title, personal data and data of the self-employed. The transmission of CU is scheduled for March 7, 2018. With its SP 2, Mago4 2.0 therefore updates the procedure already existing in Financials Accounting, to allow you print on the new models the information that, as before, are extracted mainly from bills and supplier details.

In Financials Accounting area, Mago4 2.0.2 also establishes a new menu titled Old Declarations, where the tax declarations no longer in force have been moved. It is also possible to parameterize the link to the Revenue Agency website, while the Accounting Entries Management have updated the default and sample parameters data.

About integration with Zucchetti Infinity: Mago4 2.0 SP2 improves the use of I.Mago configuration wizard, which becomes even more user-friendly. In addition, a specific improvement allows you, in presence of several companies, to choose whether to use the management of mail on the Mago4 side or the Infinity side.

The Mago4 SP2 2.0 also improves the interface of the punctual synchronization panel, clearly distinguishing the available information about synchronization between the ones regarding the status of data and those relating to the technical data of synchronization. Also the synchronization status signal is more readable and immediate, thanks to the adoption of a green smiley to indicate "everything is OK" and a warning triangle in case of error (with possible text message).

Release 2.0 of Mago4

From the beginning of the month the 2.0 release of Mago4 is available, with improvements in every functional sector and a step towards the future ... in the cloud.

The main innovations introduced by the release 2.0 of your ERP Mago4, as well as the minor interventions, concern all the functional areas, and the menu.

In the Financials area, for the Romania localization, Mago4 introduces the management of issued checks and promissory notes, with which it is possible to pay suppliers. This issuing procedure allows not only to issue one or more checks or promissory notes, but also to use previously created blank checks / promissory notes, or to transfer a check / promissory note received from a customer to a supplier.

The Logistics introduces the reading of variable weight barcodes, useful for managing codes that also contain a variable weight / price. The forms are now available in language, with tabulated shipping information and description based on the reference dictionary. In addition, Mago4 makes available to all countries a specific Lots traceability report, to highlight expiring articles.

There are also many innovations in the Manufacturing area: from the possibility of loading on intermediate routings steps, to selecting the withdrawal deposit for a particular component, up to the setting of a Scrap and Second rate default code, going through the improvement of subcontracting, the progress of work phases and the management of the accounting type in production in Romanian localization.

In this trend lies the main value of the new Mago4 ERP release: it represents a sort of bridge to the future of Mago4 in the cloud, thanks to a technologically advanced reinterpretation for many M4 suite tools. An approach that provides a back-end technology oriented to the cloud, which will follow in the next releases, while still maintaining the philosophy and compatibility of the desktop tool. In this evolution, all the tools with which you are equipped follow you, breaking down previous constraints and bringing new management objects.

Mago4 presents its latest release: the richest 1.5 with many new features in all areas.

The main contents of the release 1.5 of Mago4 are related to the Invoice Data Communication (which completes the CADI), expiring on September 18, 2017.

In Mago4 1.5 there are all the features needed to complete the master data, prepare and control the content of the communication, so that you are ready to send it in time. The ERP is designed to allow for a subsequent upgrade only for the specific component of Digital Communications, without affecting the compatibility of the current release with vertical applications and customizations. This update will complete the functionality with the actual delivery to the Digital Hub service (either directly or through the FATEL / CADI product), and is scheduled for July 28, 2017.

The news are even in the Commercial / Logistics area, for the Mago Digital Communication, intended to a perfect management of the signature in Electronic Invoicing. If you are using the Electronic Invoicing through Zucchetti Digital HUB service, you already know that the signature automatic management is an option that can make you sure of a fast and effective process for the documents submission. With Mago4 1.5 today you can take advantage of this automation without having the Zucchetti HSM Signature, exploiting the features with your HSM Signature enabled on the Digital HUB.

Another simplification contained in Release 1.5 is that it is possible to enter the data of the customer / supplier  of an article simply by accessing the item's master data from the on-fly add. In this way, to access the customer or vendor database, you will no longer need to save the master data from the on-fly add, and then return to the item list from the menu.

Mago4 1.5 warehouse procedures are even faster and more efficient! In fact, the new release of your ERP adds two new parameters for updating the Line Cost. The methods take into account non-punctual enhancement, activation of the consolidation procedure, LIFO / FIFO valorisation single-step or weighted average.

Warehouse Management System could not miss, and then Mago4 1.5 changes the way of packing from handheld device. Now you can sort the content of the preshipping and consequently declare the content of the single pack.Packing with item list not only makes it all easier but also avoids mistakes on packing phase because it helps you in selecting the items you can pack.

And there's more: the news also concern the international market, with improvements in the administrative area for Hungary and Romania localization. In Hungary, Mago4 1.5 provides for the generation of the 65M Declaration that lists for each customer and national supplier all invoice and invoice corrections for the period with an amount of VAT exceeding 100,000 HUF. For the Romanian market a number of controls have been introduced, to check the tax status of customer / supplier accounts (i.e. VAT-free or suspended subject); these controls are available jointly to the master data and also through massive audit reports on the master data files and documents.

Recent Mago4 updates deal with the new law adjustment about Split Payment.

Some updates promptly adopted by Mago4 include the Split Payment mechanism, which from 1 July 2017 is expanding its sphere of application both to the subjects purchasing goods and services as well as to the sellers and providers of goods and services.

First of all, we want to summarize some basic concepts. In Italy, the Split Payment is a mechanism introduced in 2015 requiring that public purchasers of goods and services - even if they do not qualify as taxable persons - pay directly to the tax authorities the VAT charged by the suppliers. In practice, VAT on a document issued to a public body is not collected by the party who issues the invoice, and consequently he is not paying the VAT.

As of July 2017, something has changed over this discipline. According to the new Italian rules, the recipients of the measure are now distributed in three large groups: institutions and companies belonging to the Public Administration, the companies controlled by the Council Presidency, the Ministries and the local authorities and listed companies. Another news is that also the provision of services subject to withholding tax are required to adopt Split Payment: among them, the most frequent case is that of self-employed and professionals, thus becoming new parties obliged to Split Payment.

Mago4 1.4.1 accepts these changes: the user can freely decide, depending on the type of customer, when to activate the Split Payment procedure, which can be enabled in Mago as of 1/7/2017 even in the case of withholding tax made by a professional, and not only if the customer is the Public Administration.

To manage the Split Payment in Mago4 you only need to identify which customers are covered by a specific option in the registry. After that, according to automatism in the program, the documents issued to these customers will exclude the amount of VAT both in total to be paid, and in the entry. In accounting, a special VAT transfer fee will be generated and the VAT of such documents will never be counted as due in Liquidation. You can also set a specific wording on printing documents, to be identified as affected by the Split Payment.

This update is one of the improvements contained in the SP 1.4.1 Mago4, which was recently released and immediately followed by the 1.5 release, that you can read on this blog.

We have already mentioned in this blog the main feature of the 1.4 release of your ERP Mago4 (here the dedicated post), which is the management of Quarterly VAT Statement. The communication is via the Zucchetti Digital HUB service, which includes and integrates the sending of Electronic Invoice; Digital Communication can in fact be managed with on-site FATEL / CADI server services or on line Digital Hub "FATELW / CADIW": according to the activation key you can only use FATEL, CADI or both.

As for Agents, for example, Mago4 1.4 adds a new type of commission maturity in order to update it at the time the invoice is fully collected. Regarding CONAI, the new release of Mago4 apply an update that incorporates the contribution diversification for plastic packaging, established to promote the use of more recyclable packaging, connecting the contributory level to environmental impact.

With Mago4 1.4, Combined Nomenclature is introduced in Active / Passive Cycle documents, especially for non-EU customers / suppliers, even when the Intrastat lists have not to be generated. To be always aligned to the market requests, in Mago4 1.4 the Combined Nomenclature field is now editable on both sales and purchases documents. Also, it is automatically proposed for all customers and suppliers on the basis of the Item Master Data. Moreover, starting from Mago4 1.4 it is possible to obtain the print in language of the document also for the Supplier Quotation, in addition to all other documents where this option was already considered.

Another major change concerns the WMS Mobile. In the last times, the WMS Mobile application has been integrated with many functionalities that have increased application loads, resulting in performance declines ... so with Mago4 1.4 the new WMS Mobile is born! We have a new version of Mago4’s application for the handhelds that maintains all previous functionalities and adds other ones. WMS-Mobile is now faster, more reactive and solid, guaranteeing a more flexible communication based on the web technology.

Now let's take a look at the Romanian scenario. In order to satisfy the needs of the market, in the Warehouse of Mago4 1.4, the Accounting Type has been added on the FIFO/LIFO Loads. This option can be used during the generation of the inventory accounting and it represents a further items categorization. This implementation is due to the request to define a different Accounting Type for the same item, for example diversifying the accounting account for produced and purchased items.

Also for Romania, Mago4 1.4 provides generation of XML file for VAT Declaration 300, a periodic notification of VAT settlement that must be sent to the Romanian revenue agency via XML file. Mago4 processes the data extracted in the reports, generates the xml file and prints the statement on an official template; The file can then be sent directly to the revenue agency.
