From electronic invoicing to WMS, discover the new features introduced by the release 2.5 of Mago4.

There are many new features of this version of Mago4, among which the most important are the updates in the field of electronic invoicing, a topic that has been constant for some time now. In addition, a new vertical application to WMS is available, which allows you to keep up with the updates.

We will then get to the heart of the matter for an overview of the most relevant news. The release 2.5 introduces the management of the percentage also in the formula discounts: through a special parameter you can generate XML that show the formula discounts no longer as a discount amount, but as individual discounts expressed in cascade. This improvement therefore allows you to minimize the rounding due to 2-digit decimal rounding of the discount expressed on the lines of the document.

As far as documents in foreign currency are concerned, the generation of electronic documents has been brought into line with the directives of the Revenue Agency: in fact, the regulations require that tax-relevant amounts are always expressed in Euros but that it is possible to indicate the value in foreign currency of each line; however, it is still possible to forbid the generation and transmission of electronic documents in Currency.

That's not all, on the contrary: Passive Invoicing is also equipped with an Asynchronous mode, which requires communication with the Digital Hub for downloading invoices to be fully delegated to the service installed on the Mago server and called ERP Service Provider (ESP). Instead, the functions of registration, connection and disconnection of an already registered document continue to be performed immediately.

One of the most anticipated and important improvements is the one called File System Assisted Accounting. In practice, with the activation of the appropriate module Passive Electronic Invoicing (without DH), you can acquire the electronic documents received without having signed a contract with the Digital HUB Zucchetti. The xml and metadata files received by the Interchange System, for example via certified electronic mail, and manually inserted in a folder on the file system will be loaded by the management system and made visible in the Passive Electronic Invoicing procedure.

As already mentioned, in the WMS area, with the new release the WMS Application was born, which includes the WMS Base, Advanced WMS, Mobile WMS and Mobile WMS Manufacturing modules. This new vertical allows the user to easily and quickly update all the modules of WMS without having to update the entire system. It will be sufficient to install the WMS vertical to obtain all the new features published in the WMS. The activation of the modules remains unchanged, they will continue to be activated by the Administration Console under the Mago section, so as not to require a reactivation for users who are already using these modules.

With Mago4 2.5 there are significant news also in the field of Warehouse. In particular, to facilitate the crucial management of the inventory process, a new Inventory document has been created that can be saved and resumed at a later date. Moreover, for those in possession of the Mobile WMS, it is possible to import the list of items to be inventoried from Mobile. The Inventory Adjustment procedure has then been made scheduleable, allowing the automatic import of one or more files with a smart name, where the name of the file defines the Deposit to be corrected.

The release 2.4.5 of Mago4 introduces new and very useful reports for an increasingly effective and efficient stock management in WMS.

Mago4 is enriched with new reports for the receipt and shipment of goods and offers even more tools to monitor the activity of warehouse employees.

The PreShipping List by Customer, which is introduced with the new release, allows you to view a summary report of the progress of deliveries for customer. In this way, it is possible to filter the query by Document Number, Item, Period, Customer and/or Shipping Address, thus displaying the percentages of Generated, Confirmed Transfer Orders and Generated Delivery Documents by extracting the data in order of Customer code.

Moreover, with the Supplier Order Barcode report it is possible to print the Supplier Order number in barcode format. The barcodes usually speed up the process of completing the documents reducing the scope for error; the advantage in Goods Receipt is that of having the certainty of the Order reference, streamlining the entire process of Goods Entry and guaranteeing a correct generation of administrative documents. Also in terms of WMS Transfer Orders Control, the WMS module of Mago4 2.4.5 makes inventory management even more efficient. Thanks to a new report, in fact, it is possible to have a precise control of the activity of warehouse workers, monitoring all the main activities (Picking, Positioning and Goods Receipt).

In addition to these new reports, the Mago4 WMS 2.4.5 enhances the activities related to the shipment of goods, thanks to new procedures and an increasingly precise management of the Pre-Shipping document.

The process of preparing the goods for deliveries requires ever greater flexibility and efficiency to meet all the requirements related to the goods shipment and to make the goods deliveries on individual Customers ever more efficient. With Mago4 2.4.5, there are interesting improvements for two important functions: the first called TO Assignment by Shipping and the other one called TO Reassignment by Shipping, for which it is now possible to proceed with the TO grouping by shipment. The TO Assignment Procedure by Shipping allows you to assign the Team or the Resource to the Transfer Orders grouped by Customer/Delivery Branch, with the possibility of also displaying the detail of the individual Transfer Orders. The TO Reassignment by Shipping procedure is instead particularly useful to ensure that the shipment process of the goods does not present any solution of continuity. Think about the case in which the TO employees arrive at the end of the shift without having completed them: the Reassignment procedure allows the inventory manager, or whoever is responsible, to reassign the transfer orders to the duty staff.

That is not all: with Mago4 2.4.5 all the TO generated for the preparation of the shipment can be cancelled more easily through new features present in the toolbar.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

As usual, at the end of the year we draw up our conclusions... in wishing everyone happy holidays, here are the Mago4 numbers for 2017.

During the year that is about to end, Mago4 has evolved in many ways: with 9 product updates, including 3 major releases and 6 service packs, the total is over 420 improvements in all functional areas...more than one a day, in practice!

Generally speaking,the Administrative area has been up-to-date, as is mandatory, with the regulations of the various countries localized by Mago4 ERP. Moreover, the past year saw the birth of new features implementations and advanced tools for Logistics and Manufacturing, reporting tools and the "core" development of your ERP.

Mago4 flexibility has played a role on the international markets, making the business management increasingly performant on multiple scenarios; furthermore, the philosophy of development aimed at constant updating has guaranteed for 2017 something like 130 functional improvements on the product, specifically targeted to localizations.

Release 2.0 of Mago4

From the beginning of the month the 2.0 release of Mago4 is available, with improvements in every functional sector and a step towards the future ... in the cloud.

The main innovations introduced by the release 2.0 of your ERP Mago4, as well as the minor interventions, concern all the functional areas, and the menu.

In the Financials area, for the Romania localization, Mago4 introduces the management of issued checks and promissory notes, with which it is possible to pay suppliers. This issuing procedure allows not only to issue one or more checks or promissory notes, but also to use previously created blank checks / promissory notes, or to transfer a check / promissory note received from a customer to a supplier.

The Logistics introduces the reading of variable weight barcodes, useful for managing codes that also contain a variable weight / price. The forms are now available in language, with tabulated shipping information and description based on the reference dictionary. In addition, Mago4 makes available to all countries a specific Lots traceability report, to highlight expiring articles.

There are also many innovations in the Manufacturing area: from the possibility of loading on intermediate routings steps, to selecting the withdrawal deposit for a particular component, up to the setting of a Scrap and Second rate default code, going through the improvement of subcontracting, the progress of work phases and the management of the accounting type in production in Romanian localization.

In this trend lies the main value of the new Mago4 ERP release: it represents a sort of bridge to the future of Mago4 in the cloud, thanks to a technologically advanced reinterpretation for many M4 suite tools. An approach that provides a back-end technology oriented to the cloud, which will follow in the next releases, while still maintaining the philosophy and compatibility of the desktop tool. In this evolution, all the tools with which you are equipped follow you, breaking down previous constraints and bringing new management objects.

The last update of Mago4 offers improvements in inventory management and helps to deal with the Brazilian tax system.

It is easy to see that companies that handle a large amount of goods - both inbound and outbound - must be able to count on a quick compilation and verification of data on transport documents. The basis of this mechanism is the Inventory Reason, that is, a set of codes allowing to record ofstock movements, and then determining the update of the amount of loading and unloading (and additional) quantities and the respective values.

The Inventory Reason regulates the type of movement (sales, purchase, trial etc.) to be recorded in the system, to have the correct availability of goods in Storages. In order to make even faster the filling and control of the propriety of entered data, Mago4 1.3 Service Pack 3 adds the Inventory Reason to the master data of delivery documents. In this way, the Inventory Reason is now present both in Main Data,and in Shipment tab of the active cycle transport documents and purchasing cycle.

There is more: the latest update of Mago4 dedicated to the Brazilian market makes easier also the whole system of tax rules proposition.

The complexity of the Brazilian tax system can induce tax advisors to create a large number of Tax Rules, recalled also from documents in which those rules are not actually used.

Mago4 reach now the goal to simplify the whole proposition system of Tax Rules in the documents (Fiscal Note): in your ERP has indeed been added the Nota Fiscal Type field in the General Tax Rules table. If this field is not filled out, the tax rule applies to any Tax Note; otherwise it only applies to the Fiscal Notes of the same type.
