The Zucchetti Group continues to grow in the catering market: Zucchetti Smart Touch, a group company, has developed SmartTouch menu, a proximity self ordering system through which customers of bars, restaurants, pizzerias and so on can make their orders straight from the table, in a simple and intuitive way.

Vodafone has decided to include it in the new app store Vodafone Digital Marketplace: a cloud platform that provides professionals, SMEs, and large companies with a wide range of digital business solutions.

SmartTouch Menu is a system composed by a mobile app for Android and iOS and a cloud platform that allows HORECA, tourism and entertainment operators to make their customers order drinks, meals and services to via their smartphone even when they are located on site. All this represents a powerful tool to optimize work and real-time marketing, as it allows the operator to know customer tastes and habits, thus creating ad hoc promotions. On the other hand, the advantage for the user who chooses to activate SmartTouch Menu from Vodafone's marketplace is speed and full autonomy for the use of the service, since all processes have been automated directly within the platform.

Once again Zucchetti and the Group companies demonstrate a strong vocation to innovation, as confirmed by the recognition already obtained from the solution, awarded as "Innovation of the Year" at Barawards 2015.

We have already mentioned in this blog the main feature of the 1.4 release of your ERP Mago4 (here the dedicated post), which is the management of Quarterly VAT Statement. The communication is via the Zucchetti Digital HUB service, which includes and integrates the sending of Electronic Invoice; Digital Communication can in fact be managed with on-site FATEL / CADI server services or on line Digital Hub "FATELW / CADIW": according to the activation key you can only use FATEL, CADI or both.

As for Agents, for example, Mago4 1.4 adds a new type of commission maturity in order to update it at the time the invoice is fully collected. Regarding CONAI, the new release of Mago4 apply an update that incorporates the contribution diversification for plastic packaging, established to promote the use of more recyclable packaging, connecting the contributory level to environmental impact.

With Mago4 1.4, Combined Nomenclature is introduced in Active / Passive Cycle documents, especially for non-EU customers / suppliers, even when the Intrastat lists have not to be generated. To be always aligned to the market requests, in Mago4 1.4 the Combined Nomenclature field is now editable on both sales and purchases documents. Also, it is automatically proposed for all customers and suppliers on the basis of the Item Master Data. Moreover, starting from Mago4 1.4 it is possible to obtain the print in language of the document also for the Supplier Quotation, in addition to all other documents where this option was already considered.

Another major change concerns the WMS Mobile. In the last times, the WMS Mobile application has been integrated with many functionalities that have increased application loads, resulting in performance declines ... so with Mago4 1.4 the new WMS Mobile is born! We have a new version of Mago4’s application for the handhelds that maintains all previous functionalities and adds other ones. WMS-Mobile is now faster, more reactive and solid, guaranteeing a more flexible communication based on the web technology.

Now let's take a look at the Romanian scenario. In order to satisfy the needs of the market, in the Warehouse of Mago4 1.4, the Accounting Type has been added on the FIFO/LIFO Loads. This option can be used during the generation of the inventory accounting and it represents a further items categorization. This implementation is due to the request to define a different Accounting Type for the same item, for example diversifying the accounting account for produced and purchased items.

Also for Romania, Mago4 1.4 provides generation of XML file for VAT Declaration 300, a periodic notification of VAT settlement that must be sent to the Romanian revenue agency via XML file. Mago4 processes the data extracted in the reports, generates the xml file and prints the statement on an official template; The file can then be sent directly to the revenue agency.

The integration between Mago4 and the Zucchetti galaxy allows a thorough dialogue between systems, thanks to the constant exchange of information, with the result of offering your company all the plus of an integrated, extensive and powerful structure.

As you know, your ERP Mago4 is enhanced by the functionalities of I.Mago, the application that connects Mago4 with the Infinity Zucchetti world by enhancing the functionality of Mago4 with Infinity Zucchetti's features dedicated to Document Management System (Infinity DMS), Customer Relationship Management (Infinity CRM) and Collaboration (Infinity Application Framework, IAF) with, for example, mail and calendar applications. This union allows you to put the ERP engine into a broad collaborative environment, enhanced by a great integration of procedures and a fluid user experience.

But that's not all: the commitment to make the integration between systems increasingly smooth and complete is constant, as shown by the numbers of I.Mago. Just think that in less than a year - since the launch of I.Mago in July 2016 - there are over 50 new features added to integration.

Do you want to have some proof of that? Nothing could be easier!

Among the most useful improvements, we find the extent of the I.Mago synchronization capabilities, which now offers the possibility to synchronize in Infinity also the DMS documents so-called "extended", or attachments that do not strictly belong to the CRM data, as for example, the attachmentsto related to the passive cycle documents.

In addition, I.Mago constantly increases the number of new data handled in sync from Mago4 to Infinity CRM. Just To give an example, in the customer database is now present the code for agent of other sites, which previously was not included in the set of synchronized data. The same principle applies, always by way of example, to the notes in the "people" of customer master data.

Incremental synchronization is for sure another I.Mago plus of great interest. In technical language, incremental synchronization is defined as the procedure for synchronizing massively all the data that come after batch procedures. In other words, the incremental logic allows you to update data in Infinity strating from the changes made in Mago4, acting just on the elements that have changed since the last execution of the synchronization - think for example at massive updating of VAT codes in clients lists.

Moreover, I.Mago sees a steady and strong expansion of the synchronized data structure, with consequent positive effect of a more and more accurate and improved dialogue between Zucchetti Infinity and Mago4. A specific case is represented by the management of customer prices / items, previously excluded from the branches taken into account by the synchronization engine.

In this post we have just mentioned some of the features of I.Mago, but there are many other topics related to the integration with Zucchetti's solutions that deserve a close-up. One for all is the I.Mago Studio development environment, that as you know was released in March 2017...and that is already equipped with a new engine!

Digital Communication 2017

The continuous expansion and evolution of the digital communication system creates the need for an application that can be updated in a timely and targeted manner. For companies it is important that rapid change in digital communication practices is followed by specific upgrades, which do not necessarily require upgrading of all management software, often accompanied by vertical applications and features that require much less frequent upgrades.

On Friday, May 5, 2017, Mago4 (and Mago.net) updates were released, which include the new VAT Communication guidelines, along with the integration of the services provided by Zucchetti to comply with legal requirements.

The "Digital Hub" sending services are activated at the same time as the corresponding services of the Tax Agency, from Thursday 11 May; the first postings to the Agency will be on Monday May 15, but you can still proceed installing the upgraded versions.

As you know, the first posting - scheduled for May 31 - only concerns some information (Periodic VAT Settlement Communication), while other more detailed streams expire on September 18th.

Everything suggests that in the future, the "Italian Digital Agenda" will progressively increase the number of this kind of communication: to allow more flexible management of updates, the new Mago release introduces an important innovation on a strictly technical level, that provides a standalone component dedicated to the issues related to VAT data Communication and Electronic Invoicing (ie the "Digital Communications") functionalities.

From the point of view of licensing, installation, and upgrade, nothing changes and the procedure remains totally transparent, offering you a great advantage: you can benefit from the release of any updates  for the "Digital Communications" purpose with no need to update the entire ERP and consequently align your customizations and verticals. That is not bad, isn't it?!

Stock availability is an important budget item. In this context, the inventory accounting, that is the collection of assets movements, is crucially important in determining the qualitative and quantitative composition of the company's inventories and their control. Effective warehouse management must indeed keep track of quantities and stock movement: this allows you to monitor your remaining goods, stocks already ordered but not yet received and goods subject to quality control.

In Mago4, the module devoted to these aspects (Mago4 Inventory Accounting module) allows you to record inventory transactions with appropriate accounts, values and compensation: whenever a transaction occurs, Mago4 updates the inventory value, records costs and corresponding budget accounts. , This allows you to know the availability of the items at any time of the activities and to manage stocks and inventories according to the most appropriate approach to your needs, properly valuing your company’s asset.

Mago4's Inventory Accounting is one of the features that make your ERP a solution with a strong international vocation: just think that the module was born following the first localization of Mago, created for Hungary in 2004. Given the importance of its functionality for many countries, the field of Mago4 Inventory Accounting influence has been expanded to allow proper management in different Nations; today the module is available for Hungary (optional and available in Console), Poland, Romania and Bulgaria (in the last three countries it is included in the Warehouse Management). The analysis of potential markets for expansion abroad has also revealed that the United States and Germany use this type of management to account goods movements: it is therefore easy to see how the Inventory Accounting functions are essential for all companies wishing to move on the international stage. For example, it is not foreseen for countries such as Italy and Switzerland, as they do not need to post each warehouse entry in the accounting process, but normally run the inventory valuation at the end of the year.

The main strength of Mago4's Inventory Accounting is represented by the flexibility of management, along with the ease of use it can offer you.

The fully parameterizable module structure is capable of adapting to various contexts and thus to the various inventory transactions that a company can carry out. No less important is the use of symbols, which allows flexible accounts management to be used in accounting records. The symbols, in fact, point to a proposition priority scale of the accounts, starting from the more detailed records to the parameters’ generic ones. The use of formulas also allows flexible accounting of the values contained within a warehouse movement (often the value to be reported depends on the type of movement and the context in which it is inserted).

All this with a full ease of use: by uploading default data, Mago4 pre-sets predefined templates with pre-defined symbols and formulas based on the known accounting requirements for major stock transactions and for each country. The automatic generation and updating of accounting records takes place not only from stock movements but also from sales and purchase documents.
